Drum X is a systems-based drum training program where we'll help build and hone your drumming skills, thereby enhancing learning at a faster rate. Both our teachers - Jayesh JR and John Thomas have an experience spanning over 25 years in professional drumming. So the skill sets they've picked up in their line of work are being passed down to the student to enable a satisfying drum experience.

Jayesh J R

At 11, Jayesh started his tryst with the world of music and drumming. started Conga and later Tabla. 18 he switched to drums.An ardent music lover and a great talented drummer, Jayesh has been an acclaimed drummer for 26 years now, 15 of those years he has been teaching drumming. He was featured in Modern Drummer magazine in 2001, for his work with the Death metal act - Dark Crucifix. He also played sessions with Arcane Ritual and another few black metal bands as well. He also collaborated with a few rock and progressive rock artists. He is passionate about teaching all those who share a similar passion and aspire to become professional drummers. After a brief stint with NJP, his desire to pass on his knowledge paved the way to a milestone in his career – Bangalore Drums Academy, aka BDA, established in 2011. Jayesh is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

John Thomas

John Thomas is the founder and drummer of one of the premier Ethnic Progressive Rock bands, MOTHERJANE, out of India. He has been playing drums since 1993 and won the coveted Rolling Stones Jack Daniel's Best Drummer Award in the year 2009. He has toured extensively with his band. John started teaching in 2004. Apart from making music with his band, he co-founded the schools, JAM in Kochi, NJP,B'lore and the Vibe Music Conservatory in Kochi, where he also was drum faculty. He has now relocated to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, where he has set up his studio.
